About a week ago I took a drive out towards Napa and Vallejo in search of, what else, abandoned spaces. I was passing through a rather boring little town in an area called American Canyon. Nothing special here just a small town with a bunch of strip malls. Then I spotted something behind a new housing development on the other side of some train tracks. It was huge, just a ruin of large concrete and cement walls, shells of what once was. I finally found a way into the area by climbing some hills directly behind it. Not much left at the site, just a massive sprawl of walls and columns. There was however one building that still had a roof. This is a shot from inside looking towards the abandoned silos on the land. |
