Incinerator
Description: Long abandoned and sealed up. I think this old Incinerator once burned some of Toronto's garabge in the early 1900's. I was told about this site after a similar building I had known about for years and frequently photographed was demolished. Almost identical to the Don Valley Refinery but this is a little different. Its much older. I have scouted the location and tried to find a way in but unfortunately It wont be easy, or legal. The property is currently owned by Toronto Works and is very active. Maybe one day I'll get inside.

I tried doing the same about a week ago but found it to be too active to venture into as well; even on a Sunday. The smell's a bit overpowering too.

There's a similar looking building owned by Toronto Works on Symes Road (North of St. Clair, just West of Weston Road) that appears to be a little less active if not inactive entirely. I couldn't find any way in, but it's worth checking out anyway, if just for some of the details on the outside.

what!?!

Thanks for the info Andrew! Its much appreciated. I will definately check that other location out.

As far as the Wellington one goes, i never noticed a smell yet, and your right, its very active. Ive checked it on on a Saturday and didnt have a problem walking along the west side and even down beneath the bridge but thats as far as Ive got. Last time i went under the bridge it looked like someone had been living under there. Lots of personal items and junk. There has to be a way in though.

PS. you should register so you can advertise your website. You got some great photos
