River Rat
Description: The Holland Marsh has many abandoned shacks and huts dating back to the 1950's and earlier. I spotted this one along Canal Road. Theres no paths or road to this place, theres no way of me getting closer to this hut, maybe if i had a boat but...i dont know about this water. Looks toxic in some places. Wonder who lived here. Its on the verge of falling into the river.

Nice stuff

I live about 3 minutes away from this location.... I believe there was a bridge over to it but it must have fallen down... I'm sure theres a back way in however...

Regardless, great shot

Thanks!

Yea i think there is a way but it wouldnt be easy. The back way is mostly marsh or soft land. Best to go on a really cold day. There is an old path along the other side of the river that starts way down the river but it would also be a bit messy. Lots of mud.
